The Job At-A-Glance:
Q2 is seeking an experienced and adaptable Staff Software Engineer experienced with developing backend solutions in a team setting. As part of our Engineering Development group based in Austin, TX, you will be working individually and collaboratively to develop, implement, and support online banking solutions through fast-paced, dynamic projects to improve the banking experience and turn great product ideas into great solutions for our customers. Our ideal candidate is someone self-motivated, confident and comfortable diving into professional development life while rapidly learning to work in our own proprietary framework and helping drive toward future iterations of it.
A Typical Day:

  • Work with technical stakeholders to understand, refine and implement requirements from customers and other internal team.
  • Work individually and collaboratively to deliver new features and updates to the digital banking core logic
  • Design, implement, integrate, and test software solutions comprised of Windows- and Linux-based back-end components that integrate with internal and external services to provide digital banking functionality
  • Support, maintain, and resolve problems for custom features in live production systems, with occasional on-call availability
  • Adhere to all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies
  • Assist and mentor teammates to provide technical leadership and evangelize best practices


Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here's What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or master's degree with 6 years' experience, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years with C#
  • 3+ years with .NET core
  • Experience with cloud native environments and AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of complex, enterprise architecture
  • Experience with Git
  • Work building server-side APIs


PREFERRED

  • Development experience with banking applications
  • Some knowledge of Golang


This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
