Do you want to develop cutting edge AI technology to help people get unparalleled value from meetings and conversations? Do you want to contribute fundamental research to product development and drive the industry forward? Come join our core AI team responsible for ASR/NLP and work alongside industry-veteran scientists and engineers. With your subject matter expertise in NLP you’ll have a high impact on our product and mission to make conversations more valuable. 

Your Impact

  • Leverage NLP subject matter expertise to design, implement, experiment with neural net architectures, optimization schemes, training pipelines, data acquisition methods
  • Take ownership of Otter’s product quality/utility as it relates to the summarization and chat feature capabilities.
  • Shape the future of the company by setting the research agenda to developing new undiscovered capabilities
  • Explore methods to leverage large-scale real-world conversational data to develop new capabilities such as multi-modal LLMs
  • Collaborate with Machine Learning Engineers and Scientists to evaluate model performance, analyze issues and design mitigations.

We're looking for someone who

  • 10+ years industry experience with large scale data processing and infrastructure, model training and model serving for NLP solutions and algorithms including transformer models and reinforcement learning
  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in computer science, machine learning, speech/language processing or related field
  • Hands-on experience developing, training and deploying large language models (LLMs) such as Llama2, and other transformer-based models for tasks including text generation, summarization, and classification
  • Experience working on deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX for implementing and optimizing deep learning algorithms
  • Experience with implementation of algorithms and infrastructures using programming languages such as Python,  C++
  • Comfort working in a Linux command-line environment

Salary range

Salary Range: $210,000 to $275,000 USD per year.

This salary range represents the low and high end of the estimated salary range for this position. The actual base salary offered for the role is dependent based on several factors. Our base salary is just one component of our comprehensive total rewards package.
