Staff Operations Officer, Level 4

Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking Staff Operations Officers (SOOs)/Desk Officers to support a client's operational requirements in a challenging, dynamic setting located in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Successful SOO candidates will work in an integrated government-contractor team supporting operations. Responsibilities include supporting a wide range of operational and programmatic activities to manage an Area of Responsibility (AOR) or transnational issue; management and tracking of cases; conducting detailed and specific analyses; writing official messages and reports; and identifying and addressing intelligence gaps. SOOs will be expected to prioritize tasks and provide timely guidance and support to overseas personnel. SOOs must be able to think critically and communicate highly complex information accurately. Candidates should be comfortable drafting cables and responding professionally to requests for information.
The position requires an active Security Clearance with Polygraph; there is no exception to the clearance requirement. Successful candidates will work well in team environments and also be capable of operating independently with minimal supervision. Candidates will be expected to professionally interact with customer personnel at all levels within the customer organization.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Level 4 requires 12 years of related work experience
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Experience writing cables and with customer databases and tools
• Minimum 60 days support to intel collection operations via PCS or TDY
• Strong knowledge of foreign adversaries' intelligence capabilities, including cyber/technical, information operations, and HUMINT
• Knowledge of, and experience in, the fundamentals of intelligence operations and asset validation
• Knowledge and expertise of clandestine operations, operational tradecraft, and intelligence priorities to provide strategic support and operational case management
• Active Security Clearance with Polygraph

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience in Intelligence Operations / Analysis / Support to Field Operations
• Experience using customer databases to monitor field traffic and communicate with field offices
• Overseas experience supporting collection operations and information sharing
• Foreign languages skills

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $146670 - $249330

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
