About the Role

The GoodRx Content Design team is growing and we’re looking for a dynamic Staff Content Designer to come in at this pivotal moment for our practice and craft meaningful experiences that help consumers across the country afford their medications. As part of the Product Design team, you’ll work closely with Product Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other cross-functional partners to shape the consumer experience, build trust, and help evolve our company voice.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading strategy for, and writing high-quality product content for highly complex user journeys that support consumers as they work through how to save on their medications. In this high-visibility role, we seek resilience, a true passion for words, as well as a mastery of influence.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is a leader of their craft

  • Is seasoned in creating consensus, influencing change, and establishing org-wide adherence to best practices around Content Design engagement protocols, content execution, critiques, and testing

  • Is proven to thrive in a fluid work environment, able to pivot when needed, and capable of prioritizing their own work

  • Offers a seasoned background in detangling the content experience across complex customer journeys and realigning it in a way that makes sense

  • Brings a strategic, engaged approach to not just writing copy, but to the full suite of tools that Content Design offers (e.g. information architecture)

  • Wants to design and build products that truly have a meaningful impact on the community

We’re looking for someone who offers:

  • Superb communication skills: verbal, written, presentation (internal as well as external-facing)

  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail

  • A demonstrated ability to persuade partners and diplomatically resolve conflict/drive consensus

Must be able to:

  • Elevate the content quality of their peers and teach others how to develop their craft and lead conversations around standards that benefit the wider company

  • Lead work in undefined problem spaces requiring end-to-end solutions

  • Holistically understand the user and the product end-to-end

  • Help teammates identify connections and collisions between different products or features, and how to reconcile

  • Reframe problems to produce new starting points and better solutions, using data and research to ensure that solutions meet the needs of all relevant user segments

  • Exemplify, maintain, and improve the design process

  • Evaluate existing priorities, staffing, processes etc. to make recommendations where and when things can be improved

  • Lead cross-discipline projects and build relationships with key partners

  • Drive their team to deliver a high-quality product

  • Communicate at all levels, be persuasive, and have a strong presence

  • Coach designers on presenting, communicating, approaching problems, soliciting feedback, and driving for results

  • Identify success criteria and hold the team accountable

  • Evangelize for the impact of design outside the org

  • Have a deep understanding of business priorities and be able to anticipate impact on product

Skills and Requirements:

  • 7-15 combined years of Content Design experience

  • Expert experience with design/writing collaboration tools (high- and low-fidelity) including but not limited to Figma, Zoom, and the Google suite

  • Exposure to working within and for design systems and helping stand up reusable content elements

  • Background in UX Writing/Content Design for both mobile apps and web experiences

Nice to have:

  • Experience with both B2B & B2C audiences

  • Experience with consumer healthcare products

At GoodRx, pay ranges are determined based on work locations and may vary based on where the successful candidate is hired. The pay ranges below are shown as a guideline, and the successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and other relevant business and organizational factors. These pay zones may be modified in the future. Please contact your recruiter for additional information.

San Francisco and Seattle Offices:

$161,000.00 - $257,000.00

New York Office:

$147,000.00 - $235,000.00

Santa Monica Office:

$134,000.00 - $214,000.00

Other Office Locations:

$121,000.00 - $193,000.00
