Job Description
As a member of the GPC (Global Partnerships & Channels) Executive Communications team, you will help shape and activate the story of our partner ecosystem - both inside and outside of the company. We have to be both communicator and advocate, building relationships across the company that help GPC to win hearts and minds of teams across the globe.
Your role starts with stellar project management but extends into writing, strategy, creative, and social. Never a dull moment, and no task too big or too small. You will be key to executing a communications and engagement strategy that includes messaging decks, newsletters, scripts, visual narrative decks, social content, thought leadership, and so much more.
What your days look like:
- Project management - things move fast in GPC, so we have to be organized and dynamic to meet whatever needs arise. This is also about setting the standard on how comms can and should be managed, because our work is visible.
- Editorial calendar management - so much is happening at all times, and we need clarity and transparency in what's been said where, when, and to whom. This role needs an energetic and creative approach to keeping an ear to the ground and understanding what's happening. Alongside that, we need to be strategic about what leaders are saying, and when. This calendar is key to doing that successfully.
- Balancing the internal and external - For our message to land and hook externally, we need to pressure test it internally first. Both the internal and external work will be a mix of regular, recurring items alongside major one-off projects. No matter which bucket it falls into, though, our work has to be marked by clarity, consistency, and transparency.
If you're hungry to build a career in executive and employee communications, this is a great opportunity to develop world-class communications skills with growth potential across the team and business.
Who you'll work with:
This work is a dynamic mix of two worlds - the business side, within GPC, and the comms side, in the Executive Communications team within Global Communications. You are an advocate and marketer for GPC within Communications, and an advocate and marketer for the power of comms within GPC. You will meet, talk, brainstorm, and work with people at every level of the organization, so a level head in conversations and careful discretion are key.
Who you are:
- You are creative, in both approach and output. Love writing? Skilled in PowerPoint? Perfect!
- You are organized and engaged, comfortable speaking up if something doesn't look or sound right, and always ready to build a plan.
- You are curious - this is key. There's always more to learn in ServiceNow, especially in the world of our partner ecosystem, so curiosity and comfort asking questions will take you far.
- You're excited to do things differently.
Qualifications
- 5+ years internal and/or external communications experience and/or education (experience in the technology sector and with partnerships a HUGE plus).
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills, confidence to develop and present ideas.
- Experience with content management and publishing systems.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and project management skills, especially with editorial calendars.
- Creative, visual storyteller (excellent PowerPoint skills a major plus!) with an eye for small detail. Can you spot a misplaced comma or misaligned graphic? Magical!
- Resourceful and motivated communicator who can independently prioritize shifting workloads in a high-growth, ever-changing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications/public relations or related field.
