Job Description

As a Senior Product Manager at Authorium, you will be a strategic partner to our CEO and Head of Product in shaping our product offerings. Given our early stage, you will be a key part of creating our  product strategy and building business value. Your expertise in product management will guide the direction of our product through innovative, user-centered solutions that resonate with our diverse user base.

You will work closely with a small but mighty team of product managers to own and deliver on our product roadmap. We operate in close connection with our engineering, QA and CS teams and occasionally you’ll need to step across the line to support our teammates where needed in order to achieve our goals.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Develop and execute impactful product strategies that align with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Lead the definition and execution of a product roadmap that supports complex document-centric workflows (e.g., approval flows, document authoring, etc.).
  • Engage with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure all product needs are captured and identify opportunities for creating value.
  • Conduct market research, customer interviews, and competitive analysis to inform product decisions.
  • Write high-quality user stories using an agile approach, reflecting our product principles (e.g., generalized solutions, simplifying complexity, etc.) and the direction of our platform.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product success.
  • Prioritize user experience and accessibility in product design and development.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to enable the sales pipeline for launch and support post-launch activation, retention, and upsell.
  • Work closely with Sales and Customer Success teams to understand market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product features, from concept through launch.
Requirements

What we’re looking for:

In general, Senior Product Managers need to have a diverse skill set. This role will require some proficiency across the board, but the top 2 skill areas we’re looking for are:

  1. Experience in Product Management: You should have a strong background in managing products through their entire lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond.
  2. Flexibility and strategic Thinking: You’ll need to think strategically about our product roadmap and make practical decisions that deliver on our key objectives as well as align with our long-term goals. This includes prioritizing features, balancing short-term and long-term objectives, and making data-driven decisions.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience designing and delivering world-class software products in a Product Management role, ideally with a SaaS-based enterprise software company in a regulated industry.
  • Passion for building great products, innovation, and solving complex customer problems.
  • Superior strategic and analytical skills with the ability to draw key insights and develop clear recommendations.
  • Customer-driven, with both a holistic view and the capability to execute strategies and operationalize plans.
  • Experience serving as a product owner for a scrum team, managing scrum ceremonies, and educating the team on product strategy and roadmap.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues simply and convincingly to drive fast decisions.
  • A bias for action and rapid experimentation, with a proven track record of delivering results at scale that impact critical business metrics.
  • Experience in matrixed organizations, with the ability to drive results through collaboration and influence.
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Science, or a related technical discipline preferred but not required (equivalent professional experience will be considered).

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
