About the job 

As a Senior Product Designer you will take complex tasks and make them intuitive and easy-to-use for 127M musculoskeletal disorder patients in the U.S. You will manage and improve upon the product, studying user interaction flow and envisioning how people will experience ViFiVE’s products.

As Senior Product Designer, you’ll rely on user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences – from concept to execution. You’ll collaborate with all across the teams to evolve the entire designs to build beautiful, innovative, and inspired products that people love to use. We strive to learn and understand our users’ needs, behaviors, and emotions to gather insights that inform product strategy and design. Our team includes designers, researchers, engineers, and clinicians who are passionate about quality, usability, and simplicity. 

You will:

  • Provide leadership, direction, and UX design and lead creative thinking across diverse new features of product releases and platforms
  • Shape ambiguous ideas into product stories and compelling experiences
  • Identify requirements from internal/external teams/partners and translate such requirements into design solutions
  • Be responsible and effectively advocate for users and the end experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment, imparting daily design leadership that fosters a shared understanding of the user-centric intersection between Design, Content, Business and Engineering groups
  • Align cross-functional peers (Product Management, Engineering, Research Scientists, etc.) at multiple levels to ensure new product design roadmap and prioritization decisions

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in the creative industry (UX, UI, creative agencies, start-ups, gaming, etc)
  • Experience working with cross-functional product teams (e.g. Engineering, Product, Business and Strategy, User Research, Design)
  • Experience working on customer problems and within a technical environment
  • Excellent strategic and critical thinking mindset

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge in design and innovation processes
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Human-Computer Interaction or related fields
  • Experience in managing and leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to deliver compelling design proposals and to develop coherent visions for stakeholder/executive leadership reviews
  • Experience shipping product in a dynamic and agile early stage startup environment
