PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $114,300.00-$139,700.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $88,700.00 - $165,200.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage.  Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance.  We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees.  Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan.  Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC. If you’re located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.  For those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.

As a Sr. Planning & Financial Reporting Analyst, you’ll do more than crunch numbers — you’ll shape the financial story that guides BECU’s future. Your insights will drive business decisions, your financial modeling will influence and drive strategy, and your business partnerships across the Credit Union will ensure that our plans are aligned with our mission to serve our members. WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Be the Go-To Partner: Act as a trusted business partner to teams across the organization, serving as the main point of contact for financial planning and reporting needs. 

  • Drive Planning & Forecasting: Lead the development and execution of our annual financial plan and rolling forecasts, using your expertise to support strategic decisions. 

  • Deliver Meaningful Insights: Prepare and present monthly financial reports, highlighting variance trends and key insights that drive action. 

  • Guide with a Consultative Approach: Work hand-in-hand with Finance Business Partners and department leaders to understand their goals and offer tailored financial support. 

  • Lead Strategic Analysis: Provide interpretive analysis and identify cost improvement opportunities that align with organizational priorities. 

  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Offer proactive insights on our financial position in light of evolving variables — both short-term and long-range. 

  • Educate and Empower: Lead budgeting education sessions for department leaders, enabling better financial decisions across the organization. 

  • Be a Technical Expert: Maintain and grow your knowledge of GAAP, regulatory considerations, and internal systems like PeopleSoft and Hyperion. 

  • Build Powerful Tools: Create robust analytical models to uncover trends, forecast performance, and support business innovation. 

  • Tackle Special Projects: Participate in cross-functional projects, ad-hoc financial requests, and prepare presentations for executive leadership and the Board of Directors. 

  • Keep Communication Flowing: Collaborate regularly with internal teams to ensure transparency and alignment across all financial planning activities. 

  • Champion Quality: Always look for ways to improve how we serve both internal teams and external members.

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

Minimum Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in a financial institution or equivalent role 

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn new software tools 

  • Experience using Hyperion Budgeting and Planning Tool and Smart View (or similar tools) 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and independently 

 

Desired Qualifications 

  • CPA/CMA preferred.
