BE PART OF THE CONNECTION
As a Senior Manager, you'll be responsible for providing direction and leadership to designated engineering staff. You will develop and maintain wireless technology solutions and oversee the execution of engineering initiatives. Additionally, you will coordinate and collaborate with product and other engineering organizations, such as Technical Operations, and other organizations as needed to ensure optimal customer experience, cost efficiency, effective implementation of the products and solutions as well as ease of operations. You will also be responsible for developing capital budgets, purchasing, staff development, managing the support of existing products and the deployment of new products.

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
  • Manage engineering staff involved in the design, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement and troubleshooting of wireless product delivery platforms.
  • Provide overall direction for all areas of engineering support for system locations regarding new and existing wireless technologies and current operating standards
  • Collaborate with product organization, other engineering organizations and Operations regarding strategic planning, new product development and deployment, network and product operations
  • Monitor and provide guidance in the capital budget process to ensure projects are cost effective, completed on time, and on budget
  • Provide quality assurance support and direction to engineering staff regarding new or existing technologies, company technical quality assurance (TQA) standards.
  • Develop an effective front line innovative leadership team and assist staff with developing their technical and personal skills to drive a high performance environment and culture.
  • Monitor current procedures and tests performed to ensure compliance with internal Charter's practices,
    industry standards, rules and regulations.
  • Responsible for compliance with company engineering standards, policies and procedures.
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience, cost effective solutions and operational efficiency.
  • Promote and maintain good relations with internal organizations, vendors, contractors and government agencies
  • Perform manager duties such as goal setting, performance reviews, coaching and mentoring staff, etc.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of Project Management work experience
    • 3+ years of related leadership experience
    • 7+ years of engineering and networking experience
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
      Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E, etc.)
  • Technical Skills:
    • Knowledge of DOCSIS, Fiber Optics, Networking and company products and services is a plus
    • Knowledge of WiFi and Wireless technologies, architectures and standards.
    • Experience with leading MSO, vendors or wireless operators.
    • Experience in technology development, architecture design, development, testing certification and Quality Assurance.
  • Skills:
    • Leadership skills with proven ability to provide effective, results oriented direction
  • Abilities:
    • Effective communication: Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner
    • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
    • Ability to effectively supervise, coach, mentor and motivate others
    • Ability to manage multiple projects, changing priorities, make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
  • Travel Ability:
    • Office Environment
  • Schedule:
    • Full time
    • Exposure to moderate noise levels
    • Moderate Travel Require
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Working level knowledge of Entitlement Server functions and architecture
    • Working level knowledge of SMDP+ and SIM OTA Platform functions and architecture

The base pay for this position generally is between
$110,800.00 and $196,400.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
