Position summary:
T-Mobile is America’s supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. The Sr. Engineer, Software is located in Bellevue, WA and will research, design, and develop computer and network software and specialized utility programs.
• Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.

  • Evaluate and adopt new software technologies to solve problems.

  • Work with Technical Product Managers and Architects to create user stories for developers.

  • Create E2E integration with mobile and web applications.

  • Support application functioning and performance tuning.

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to define, design, and deploy new features.

  • Develop application support documentation to facilitate acceptance of system changes into production and translate business and functional requirements into documented technical specifications.

  • Build and unit test production deployment packages and implementation plans for scheduled system enhancements.

  • Work with cross-functional teams successfully deliver offers and application releases.

  • Perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and document findings.

  • Support, triage, and troubleshoot issues affecting Staging, Pre-production, and Production.

Minimum requirements:

Experience and education requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer and Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience.

Skills requirements: must have professional experience in:

  • Analyzing, designing, and developing scalable systems and software solutions with Microsoft .NET framework and .NET core, C#, C++/MFC, VB.NET, ASP.NET, PL/SQL, Web API 2.0, LINQ, Visual Studio, HTML, CSS, Java Script, JQUERY, and JSON.

  • Backend database integration using SQL Server (Relational Database), SQL Azure, and COSMOS Database via Azure COSMOS SDK.

  • Designing and developing APIs, building Azure functions, Service Buses, and Event Hubs, conducting VNET integrations, and rendering web content in web applications using HTML and CSS.

  • Designing and developing Unit and UITests using Visual Studio.

  • Managing source code with GITLAB, SVN, TFS, and GitHub.

  • Creating and managing CI/CD pipeline with YAML using Azure and Gitlab.
