Your role at Dynatrace
Dynatrace is seeking a strategic and technically proficient Senior Director of Web Strategy and Marketing to lead the evolution of our global web presence. This role will oversee web strategy, technology, content, and user experience to drive awareness, engagement, and conversion across our digital ecosystem. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our website embodies Dynatrace's brand and delivers exceptional experiences for all audiences, from executives to developers.
This position requires a leader with deep expertise in website management, performance optimization, and scalable web technologies, paired with a passion for delivering results.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a global web strategy aligned with Dynatrace's brand, marketing goals, and business priorities.
  • Define the vision for a best-in-class web platform that drives awareness, engagement, and conversion.
  • Stay ahead of trends in web technologies, AI-driven personalization, and digital user behavior to deliver innovative solutions.


Technical Leadership:

  • Oversee the architecture, development, and maintenance of the website, ensuring scalability, uptime, and security.
  • Own the implementation and optimization of the content management system (CMS) to support dynamic, scalable, and multilingual content delivery.
  • Drive front-end and back-end web performance optimization, including Core Web Vitals, page load speeds, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Ensure seamless integration with marketing technologies, including CRM (e.g., Salesforce), marketing automation (e.g., Marketo), analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), and personalization engines.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure the website infrastructure aligns with enterprise-grade security and compliance standards.
  • Champion SEO best practices, structured data implementation, and schema markup to enhance organic search performance.


Execution and Optimization:

  • Lead the development of a robust A/B testing and personalization strategy using tools such as Optimizely, Adobe Target, or similar platforms.
  • Oversee the management of APIs and integrations for dynamic content, third-party tools, and data syncing.
  • Manage ongoing site audits and upgrades to maintain high performance and address technical debt.
  • Optimize processes and governance for code deployment, QA testing, and change management in partnership with the development team.
  • Identify and implement strategies for global site expansion, localization, and regional performance optimization.


Team Management:

  • Lead a high-performing team of web developers, UX/UI designers, and production engineers.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that bridges technical and creative expertise to deliver seamless web experiences.


Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partner with product marketing and demand generation teams to create optimized landing pages, microsites, and other digital assets.
  • Work with brand and creative teams to ensure visual and messaging consistency across all digital properties.
  • Collaborate with the sales and account-based marketing teams to drive personalization and lead-generation initiatives.
  • Engage with data teams to support integrations, reporting, and data security requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience: 15+ years in web strategy, digital marketing, or web development, with 5+ years in a leadership role.


Preferred Requirements

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong experience with enterprise CMS platforms (e.g., Craft CMS, Drupal, or Contentful).
    • Proficiency in web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Vue.
    • Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
    • Deep understanding of web analytics platforms, data tagging strategies, and reporting tools.
    • Knowledge of SEO, Core Web Vitals, and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG compliance).
    • Experience integrating web platforms with CRM and martech tools (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, ).
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate in a matrixed organization.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Strong analytical skills and experience in using insights to inform web strategy and decision-making.
  • Innovation-Driven: Passion for identifying and implementing emerging technologies to drive website performance and user engagement.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, computer science, or related field (MBA preferred).
