About the Role:

CrowdStrike is looking for a Senior Director of Cybersecurity to lead its internal Data Protection team. In this role, you will be a key leader on the internal Cybersecurity team. You will work closely with the CISO, Senior Leadership, Business owners and our product/services organizations to provide a world class first line of defense for the business. As the Data Protection leader, you will lead a multidisciplinary team focused on identifying and categorizing data, and driving data protection strategies throughout the data lifecycle. Additionally, the leader in this role will partner to establish a robust strategy to enable secure business growth.
  

What You'll Do:

  • Effectively manage a data protection organization ensuring they are consistently delivering against a high standard of quality, meeting compliance/regulatory requirements.

  • Update the company’s data protection strategy; establish and meet/exceed key SLA / KRI / KPI.

  • Lead data protection efforts during tabletop and/or incident response activities, effectively communicating to executive leadership and coordinating business response efforts with appropriate crisis teams.

  • Proactively partner with peers and business leaders to develop and execute program strategies ensuring appropriate, timely and cost effective data protection coverage of new and emerging use cases.

  • Hire, retain, and develop the next generation of cyber talent in alignment with the global talent and cybersecurity strategies. 

  • Lead CRWD for CRWD efforts pertaining to data protection; work directly with product and engineering teams to adopt and adapt the latest CrowdStrike technologies into our CSIRT as customer 0. 

  • Produce high-quality written and verbal reports, presentations, recommendations, and findings to key stakeholders including customer management, regulators, and legal counsel.

  • Demonstrate industry thought leadership through blog posts, CrowdCasts, customer discussions and other public speaking events 
     

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience leading data protection teams composed of multiple functions. 

  • Deep domain expertise and experience in cybersecurity.

  • Strong business acumen and executive presence with the demonstrated ability to communicate highly technical information to non-technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated experience building cybersecurity strategy and organizing an operational team to deliver effectively against it.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, hardworking team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, including experience meeting with and presenting information to senior leadership.

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving scenario.

  • Capable of leading teams of highly motivated technical analysts.

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to equal pay for equal work in its compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $210,000 - $310,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.
