What you’ll do:

  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure the network operates optimally.
  • Conduct regular network upgrades and updates to enhance performance and security.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's network and data.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for network security.
  • Provide technical support to end-users for network-related issues.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining user accounts, permissions, and access levels.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Implement and manage network backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Set up network monitoring tools to proactively identify and address network performance issues.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or commensurate experience
  • Possess an active Secret U.S. Government security clearance.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, with a strong background in various domains such as network security, application security, and cloud security.
  • Proven experience implementing cybersecurity requirements within a U.S. Government environment, including managing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), NIST 800-53 requirements, and PO&AMs.
  • Experience mitigating CVE vulnerabilities within required Service Level Agreement (SLA) timelines
  • Hands-on experience leveraging security scanning tools in CI/CD pipelines such as ACAS, SonarQube, Fortify, Trivy, OWASP Zap, and Burpsuite
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing effective cybersecurity strategies in complex environments.
  • Proficiency in security tools, techniques, and practices for threat detection and mitigation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with application teams to develop and refine comprehensive cybersecurity strategies aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
