*** This position will be located in Bellevue, WA. This is not a remote role, we are a hybrid environment requiring at least 3 days a week in office.***
The Sr Commercial Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating and executing a marketing strategy to drive adoption of network APIs across multiple customer segments and partners. This role will focus on developing brand awareness, thought leadership, marketing collateral, and event strategy. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Sales, Marketing and Developer Relations, to ensure successful go-to-market execution.

Job Responsibilities

- Partner with cross-functional teams to refine market positioning of network API products and define go-to-market (GTM) strategy.
- Drive the creation of marketing collateral, including case studies, white papers, and sales enablement tools. Collaborate with product and sales teams to develop training materials, FAQs, and playbooks for API adoption.

- Create marketing campaigns and content to establish thought leadership, drive awareness and adoption of network APIs. Gather and analyze feedback from developers and partners to refine messaging and strategies.

- Produce thought leadership content, such as blogs, whitepapers, and presentations, to establish industry expertise.
- Identify and prioritize events, conferences, and partnerships to maximize API adoption.  Partner with marketing and event team to execute the events. Partner with commercial and ecosystem partners to leverage synergies.

- Develop and maintain relationships with developer communities, thought leaders, and industry influencers

- Define and monitor key marketing metrics to track awareness, adoption, and ecosystem engagement.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to position T-Mobile’s API offerings effectively.

- Go-to-market launch success: Developer interest and ecosystem growth.

- API awareness: Impressions, website traffic, and engagement rates.
- Partner program participation and developer sign-ups.
- API adoption rates: Sign-ups, usage, and customer engagement.
 

Key Deliverables

- Quarterly marketing plans and strategies for API adoption.
- Market Launch kits for new API products and features incl internal and customer facing material.
- Developer and partner engagement campaigns.
- Reports on ecosystem performance and marketing effectiveness.
 

Education

- Bachelor's Degree (Required) 
- Master's/Advanced Degree (Preferred)
 

Work Experience

- 7+ years Marketing experience in one or more of the following categories: software/hardware, web, telecommunications, APIs, developer ecosystems, enterprise technology. (Required) 
- Experience developing marketing strategies for technical products. (Preferred) 
- Driving strategy cross-functionally in a technology or SaaS-based environment. (Preferred)
 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Strong understanding of API business models and developer ecosystems.
- Experience with product marketing, growth marketing, or technical marketing.
- Ability to create compelling marketing collateral and content.
- Proficiency in digital marketing strategies, including SEO, social media, and paid media.
- Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience organizing and executing developer engagement events.
- Strong understanding of API documentation and developer workflows.
- Experience with API authentication methods (OAuth, API keys, etc.).
- Ability to translate complex API concepts into engaging content for different audiences.
- Knowledge of best practices for engaging and growing developer communities.
- Familiarity with API marketplaces and strategies to enhance API adoption.
- Ability to prioritize initiatives based on business impact.
- Public speaking and event planning experience for hackathons, webinars, and conferences.

Base Pay Range: $109,300 - $197,200

Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
