What we are looking for

In this role, you will partner with key stakeholders in Product & Finance teams to uncover, size, prioritize and implement opportunities to improve business performance. We have recently released our next generation guest and owner apps which is a key strategic pillar for the organization going forward, and this role is critical in executing against that mission. Vacasa’s business is a two-sided marketplace of homeowners & guests, which makes our jobs complex and data rich. We coordinate with Product through a financial lens to ensure our business grows profitably. What you’ll do

• Be a valuable partner to the Vacasa product team, providing data-driven insights and analysis to inform product roadmap
• This role will work closely with Vacasa Data Science, offering the opportunity to develop data science knowledge & skills
• Develop & monitor reporting for A/B testing, collaborate closely with product teams to understand successes & failures of new products
• Utilize statistical significance measures to report on accuracy of A/B test results
• Learn the complex Vacasa ecosystem and be the subject matter expert on all data and objectives relating to the teams you support
• Synthesize large data sets into digestible information, & coordinate with product teams to incorporate new data sources into analysis & reporting
• Establish reporting and ongoing monitoring to ensure proper strategic execution
• Pursue new approaches to solving problems with creativity and innovation
• Develop your technical skills – particularly in SQL, Tableau, Python

Skills you’ll need

• Intellectual curiosity balanced with an orientation for getting stuff done
• Ideally a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field such as Business Analytics, Engineering, Finance, Economics, etc.
• 2+ years of professional experience in a business, strategy, product, or financial analysis role
• Advanced SQL experience and knowledge of relational databases
• Strong Grasp of data visualization best practices, experience with Tableau, Looker, or Metabase a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-structuring, and problem-solving skills; experience synthesizing data into insights, and presenting concise results
• Strong candidates will have some experience with statistical software (R, Python, etc.) & a desire to learn
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Keen eye for detail, ability to handle ambiguity, and out of the box thinking
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and willingness to quickly pivot into new tasks as business needs arise

Ability to work from home and resides in one of the followings states: AK, AL, AZ, CA, CO DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MO, MT, NC, NH, NM, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, or WY

You’ll be working in your home office setting. We hold virtual training sessions and weekly team meeting. Occasional offsite team meetings in your region or our HQ locations. Requires frequent, repetitive use of a computer, phone, and office equipment. Requires patient, professional communication with prospective clients, and the ability to build confidence with prospects.

Compensation

$75,000 - $110,000 DOE
