The Job:

As the Specified Fastening Specialist, you will be part of the Commercial Construction team working as a remote employee in the Midwest Region. This role primary responsibility is to effectively grow the anchoring and fastening business with our current identified Commercial and Industrial distribution accounts as well as targeted professional trades and determine what products their customers should support and what best fits the needs of our target contractors within the market.  Understanding and implementing training for internal and external customers, jobsite focus through Dodge leads using the submittal process and consistent feedback to the product and channel teams on needs within the markets. Whether you're continuously hunting and prospecting for new business or growing existing accounts, you'll consult with customers to identify their business challenges and recommend tailored solutions to solve them-and ultimately, build their business and ours. You will also get to:

  • Achieve top line sales targets while maintaining desired ROI and T&E & TF budgets.
  • Drive professional trades engagement through sales calls, follow ups, meetings, and team involvement, including engineering team leads and interaction with MSA’s largest contractors and distributors.
  • Identify new professional contractors and sell our value proposition through cold calling and networking techniques.
  • Develop and promote the implementation of the Fastening industry’s (anchor business) sales and marketing strategy, achieve sales targets; establish and manage sales channels.
  • Drive sales through contractors’ activities, distributor sales work along, demos and end user calls in collaboration with local sales teams.
  • Establish and develop key relationships with your distributor partners by supporting all aspect of their business to include contractor calls and trainings.
  • Coordinate and participate in major trade shows with key distribution accounts.
  • Provide support to contractors on product training through educational and safety seminars.
  • Provide application-based training for DEWALT field sales teams to include Jobsite selling skills.
  • Gain expertise on channel-specific pricing structures and programming.
  • Develop a strong technical understanding of DEWALT anchors and fastening products with associated tools and accessories and how they are used in construction and designed in accordance with current building codes. 
  • Understand and monitor sales and market opportunities to increase business and profitability.
  • Determine strategic planning related to new product lines, large projects and key end users.

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Sales or Marketing for Construction Supplies or Specified Products.
  • Jobsite or construction knowledge required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications; Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, CRM Tool.
  • Up to 50% Regional Travel; Up to 25% Overnight Travel.
