Our Opportunity:

Petabyte Technologies Inc is looking for a Software Engineer III at our facility in Bellevue, Washington responsible for building and managing the technical stack supporting our IT Healthcare Platform.

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Supports the building of high performing API’s to serve our veterinary practitioners.
  • Build platforms to serve our veterinary practices to enable them to run more efficient operations and deliver better patient veterinary care.
  • Provide hands on contribution to SDLC process from design, development, testing, implementation, and support of applications.
  • Engage in iterative development, testing, contributing to the overall growth and development of one of the fastest growing areas – IT Healthcare.
  • Partner with both technical and business teams on multiple initiatives and collaborate to deliver new features and enhancements.
  • Design and build new features and services that powers chewy.com and customer experience.
  • Drive and advise on technical decisions and collaborate with talented peers.
  • Review code, implementations, and give meaningful feedback that helps others build better solutions.
  • Establish strong working relationships at all organizational levels and across functional teams.
  • Local telecommuting permitted.


What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 8 years of experience in software development or as a Software Engineer.
  • Alternatively, the company will accept a Master’s degree and 6 years of experience in software development or as a Software Engineer.
  • Experience must also include the following: Java and other open source stack, including Spring and Apache;
  • RDMS;
  • Professional software engineering practices for the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations;
  • Working in an agile development environment, collaborating with Application Development and Architecture teams;
  • designing, building, and deploying scalable, highly available systems;
  • Mentoring and educating peers;
  • SNS;
  • SQS;
  • CloudWatch;
  • Lambda;
  • ECS;
  • DynamoDB;
  • Route53;
  • Redis;
  • DocDB;
  • Jenkins;
  • Design and Architecture

Compensation & Benefits:

Our salary range for a Software Engineer III position is $156,263 - $215,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Non-exempt hourly team members accrue paid time off (PTO) while salaried-exempt team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Non-exempt hourly team members in Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service are also eligible for additional unplanned unpaid time off (UTO). Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
