Our Opportunity:

We are looking for a Software Engineer II at our facility in Bellevue, Washington to design and build software components contributing to the native Kotlin Android e-commerce app.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Actively participate in defining, designing, developing, testing, and implementing software functionality using an agile methodology.
  • Build and modify the legacy software systems of existing Android apps to be more efficient partner with stakeholders and technology teams on implementing desired features and enhancements.
  • Leverage modern architectural patterns, third-party libraries, and Kotlin to deliver new features.
  • Drive architectural decisions and improvements to core internal Android libraries.
  • Ensure that technical solutions follow best practices and are reliable, easily maintainable, and scalable under sustained load.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new mobile technologies.
  • Participate in design and code reviews.
  • Collaborate to identify, isolate, and resolve malfunctions related to Android App.
  • Create and evolve system-related documentation.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to operational excellence.
  • Telecommuting permitted 4 days per week.
  • 5% domestic travel required.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field and 3 years of experience.
  • Will also accept a Master’s degree and 1 year of experience.
  • Experience must include the following: software engineering;
  • Developing software components and services using Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, testing frameworks including robolectric, MockK, espresso., Dependency Injection, Modern Android development, MVVP and MVI architecture, Github, gRPC, and GraphQL;
  • Working with web services (SOAP/HTTP, REST);
  • SQL and developing modules with relational databases;
  • Experience with any of the following: AWS, Terraform, Agile/Scrum, open-source technologies, responsive module design, or continuous integration using GitHub;
  • Protocol buffers, Analytics and Data visualization, Memory, CPU and battery profiling for Android Apps, and Hybrid bridge debugging for Android;
  • Working in System Android Apps; and
  • Finding and mitigating Android app security flaws.
  • Telecommuting permitted 4 days per week.
  • 5% domestic travel required.
  • The position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

Compensation & Benefits:

Our salary range for a Software Engineer II position is $115,500 - $183,500. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k, and a new hire and annual equity grant.
