Software Engineer II (Application Platform)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer II to join our Applications Platform team, the backbone of Rula’s platform, providing core services and data that power user experiences across multiple verticals. In this role, you will design and build scalable, reliable backend systems that are critical to both the day-to-day operations at Rula and the seamless functionality of our platform. As a key contributor, you’ll solve complex technical challenges, collaborate across teams, and drive innovation that supports our mission to deliver impactful and cohesive solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or comparable work experience.

• 3+ years of professional engineering experience.

• Demonstrated success building positive relationships with partners and stakeholders.

• Experience in building highly scalable, reliable, available, and performant systems.

• Experience driving all phases of the development lifecycle: planning, execution, and measuring success, post-launch maintenance

• Proven track record of modern applications design architecture, good API design patterns, security, performance, and scaling.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at early or growth-stage companies.

• Demonstrated success leveraging data to inform decisions.

• Experience with AWS or equivalent platforms.

• Experience with NodeJs, Typescript, Kafka

Compensation Range: $148.8K - $175K
