Our workforce is fully remote and your personal working hours can be based on your own timezone. All team-wide meetings are scheduled to be inclusive of all North American time zones.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer I and Software Engineer II to join our Engineering team! Each role will report to an Engineering Manager, and will be responsible for building great software and be a key contributor to our product development team.

What you'll do

• Develop full-stack software using Typescript, MySQL, React, and Next.js
• Own features from the idea phase through to production
• Help us maintain a high-quality and nimble codebase
• Collaborate with other engineers, designers, product managers, and members of the wider Ethena team

What makes a great candidate

• Mastery of computer science fundamentals, either via a college degree, alternative schooling, or extensive practical experience.
• Experience working on an agile software development team.
• Experience shipping features to production and maintaining them.
• Experience with Javascript/Typescript, MySQL, React or Next.js
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, database migrations, logs & monitoring, and other production development concepts.
• A self-starter who thrives in a hands-off management environment — someone who takes ownership of their work with a “roll up your sleeves mentality”, is comfortable with ambiguity, proactively identifies problems and solutions, and drives their work forward with minimal oversight.
• We’re an early-stage startup so we’re not just looking for someone to run a playbook. We want you to help build it.
• Passion for what we’re building here at Ethena and a strong alignment with our core values (which includes an impeccable sense of humor)

Compensation

• We have two levels we are hiring for: Software Engineer I and Software Engineer II.
