ImpactAs our Software Engineer on the Fraud team you will develop our anti-fraud solutions. Every day you will use Golang, Kafka, Postgres, Redis, and Terraform to build out internal tools, contribute to rules engine integrations, and implement stronger controls to improve our security posture against bad actors. You will work on a team of 6 to develop these solutions while also collaborating with other engineering teams.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

  • 2+ years of software development experience in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), micro-services, and/or distributed architecture

  • You know how to design, develop, test (unit/integration/etc), deploy and maintain application code using object-oriented programming languages.

  • You have experience participating in the design process to build efficient, scalable and maintainable architecture

  • You know how to collect and analyze metrics to drive implementation decisions

  • You enjoy collaborating with other engineers across teams

  • You have a strong intuition and strong problem solving skills

  • You like to maintain a high degree of ownership for all aspects of owned services

  • You are passionate about mentoring and sharing knowledge with your team

  • You have strong knowledge of REST principles and know how to design APIs that follow them

  • You have the ability to design and interact with complex persisted data models

Work Arrangement

Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader.  Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis. Employees will also be eligible to receive discretionary vacation for exempt team members, paid holidays throughout the calendar year and paid sick leave.  Other compensation includes eligibility for an annual bonus and the potential for restricted stock units based on role.

Pay Range:

Metro Areas of Boston, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and New York City: 

$75,900-$151,700

All other locations:

$63,100-$126,300

Please note that the salary range above is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
