About the Role:

Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager, the Software Development Engineer II will serve as a core member of an engineering team to design the vision and roadmap of the software platform services central to the company’s core products and growth. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the United States based on manager approval.

You Will:

  • Develop easy-to-use software platform, leveraging expertise with software languages, deployment systems, and cloud infrastructure.

  • Assess and validate software systems to ensure they adhere to the highest standard for security and compliance, collaborating with internal Infrastructure and Security teams, as needed.

  • Implement software systems that promote efficient practices and enable standardization across platform services.

  • Test network software systems and automation tools to ensure they meet internal and industry best practices.

  • Implement, accelerate, and reengineer the delivery of world-class developer tools and practices in collaboration with Product Engineering, Information Technology, and other internal teams.

You Have:

  • Position requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field and 2 years of experience with software design, development, version control, testing, implementation, and debugging.

  • 1 year of experience with delivering high-quality, high-readability, and scalable software solutions;

  • 1 year of experience with service-oriented architecture, deployment/build systems and cloud infrastructure;

  • 1 year of experience with writing comprehensive test suites with optimal coverage; and

  • 1 year of experience with C#, CSS, Docker, Go, Git, HTTP protocols, Java, Jira, JSON, Rest APIs, Postgres, Python, Ruby, SQL, and unit testing suits.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $137,259.00 - $170,000.00 per year. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
