SUMMARY

The primary responsibilities of the Social Media Strategist are to help develop and execute the company’s and its affiliates’ social media strategies and to support the broader efforts of the marketing and communications (MarComms) department. The MarComms team’s primary mission is to clearly communicate and effectively promote the company’s mission, milestones, products, brand, and broader strategic initiatives to its various stakeholders. We are the defenders of the brand and the voice of the company. We are a collaborative team of internal storytellers and designers, with a deep understanding of MARA, who value integrity, transparency, and clarity, and who strive for excellence in all things.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Assist in developing and executing an effective social media strategy to enhance the company’s and its subsidiaries’ brand visibility, engagement, and reputation across various social media platforms.
  2. Manage all social media channels, create content, schedule posts, engage the community, and track analytics.
  3. Develop and implement social media campaigns to support key company announcements, initiatives, and product launches.
  4. Monitor social media trends and industry best practices; provide insights to internal stakeholders and adjust social media strategies as needed.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams (comms, design, legal, etc.) to ensure all social media content aligns with the company's values and objectives.
  6. Build relationships with industry influencers to expand the company's reach and enhance the brand’s credibility.
  7. Respond to stakeholder inquiries, comments, and messages on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.
  8. Analyze social media performance metrics and prepare regular reports to evaluate the effectiveness of social media efforts and inform future strategies.
  9. Identify and take down fake social media accounts that impersonate the company or key stakeholders, working closely with platform support teams to ensure swift action.

QUALIFICATIONS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • 2+ years of experience in social media management, in house or at an agency, preferably in the technology, energy, or Bitcoin industry.
  • Proven experience helping develop and executing social media strategies for multiple accounts across various platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor social media analytics and industry trends, derive insights, and provide guidance on a constantly evolving social media and product marketing strategies.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create engaging and compelling content for social media platforms and product marketing materials.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas for social media campaigns, content, and product marketing initiatives.
  • Experience managing social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, targeting, and performance tracking.
  • Strong organizational skills. A history of balancing competing priorities with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage time-sensitive projects.
