At the exciting intersection of virtual reality, high-performance computing (HPC), and AI, NVIDIA-accelerated computing opens our partners up to enormous new markets! The NVIDIA Partner Program is designed for those whose primary business model is reselling, solutions integration, designing, or manufacturing systems, providing hosted services, consulting, or servicing NVIDIA products and solutions. To help create docs for our partners, we're seeking an experienced technical writer with passion and drive, technical proficiency, and excellent writing and editing skills. We’re looking for someone who can quickly form good working relationships with engineers and work collaboratively to produce great documentation that simplifies, explains, and empowers our partners.

What you'll be doing:

  • Writing documentation such as Product Specifications, Hardware Design Guides and Validation Guides, and Partner Guidelines

  • Researching, scoping and leading documentation projects

  • Gathering, editing, and publishing subject-specific knowledge from SMEs and developers

  • Supporting development teams and delivering high-quality technical content within a fast-paced schedule

  • Contributing to internal templates and standards to create clear and reusable content

  • Driving the technical review process

  • Possibly also preparing or editing illustrations, photographs, diagrams, and charts.

What we need to see:

  • Demonstrated ability (5+ years) writing computer hardware documentation

  • Power-user-level skills with MS Word and Word templates

  • Some expertise with Visio and slide/deck-creation apps

  • Versatile and flexible approach in order to assist other members of the group when their workload spikes.

  • A propensity for thinking like an engineer and writing the documentation they need

  • The flexibility to find whatever method works best to get close to SMEs and learn what they know

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience documenting notebook and desktop computer hardware

  • Experience documenting sophisticated data center-based services and platforms

  • Authoring experience with Sphinx and reStructuredText

  • Understanding of source control tools (such as Perforce and GitHub) and experience using issue trackers such as JIRA to track project tasks

  • Hardware or software engineering experience

At NVIDIA, we are inventing some of the coolest technology to empower our partners to realize their artistic side, and further our technology leadership position. This allows us to tackle problems that others can only dream of solving at this point.

The base salary range is 116,000 USD - 224,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
