Atlassian is looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter to join our R&D Talent Acquisition team.
Working at Atlassian
Atlassians can choose where they work - whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
As a Senior Technical Recruiter, you'll own the high volume recruitment style-from strategic sourcing and pipeline development to delivering a high-quality candidate experience and strengthening hiring manager partnerships. You'll play a key role in positioning us as an employer of choice, while driving an efficient, data-informed, and inclusive hiring process.
You will be joining a remote and distributed Talent Acquisition R&D team hiring across Engineering.
Responsibilities

  • Own Bottom-of-Funnel Strategy - Manage final stage hiring activities including interview coordination, offer reviews, and candidate decision-making.
  • Use Data to Drive Hiring Decisions - Monitor and interpret funnel metrics (pass through rates, time-to-fill, offer acceptance) to drive hiring strategy.
  • Enhance Candidate Experience - Deliver a thoughtful, high-touch experience that supports candidates through every stage of the process.
  • Streamline Hiring Operations - Maintain process consistency, compliance, and high data integrity while identifying opportunities to improve speed and efficiency.
  • Support Employer Branding Efforts - Contribute to a candidate experience that strengthens our brand and helps position us as an employer of choice.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers - Act as a trusted advisor by bringing market insights and process expertise to help hiring teams make informed decisions.
  • Champion Diversity & Inclusion - Participate in and support inclusive hiring practices to ensure we're building representative and high-impact teams.

What We're Looking For

  • Technical Recruiting Expertise - Proven experience with full-cycle technical recruiting, with a focus on high volume and bottom-of-funnel execution.
  • Data-Driven Mindset - Comfort using data to guide hiring decisions, identify funnel inefficiencies, and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Strong Negotiator & Closer - Skilled in guiding offer conversations and closing candidates effectively.
  • Excellent Stakeholder Management - Confident working with hiring managers and cross-functional partners to deliver aligned outcomes.
  • Team-Oriented & Detail-Driven - Works collaboratively, communicates clearly, and stays organized in fast-moving environments.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technical recruiting or a similar talent role, with exposure to bottom of funnel hiring processes (e.g., candidate management, offer strategy, and closing).
  • Familiarity with ATS (ideally iCIMS) and a strong track record of maintaining data accuracy and compliance.
  • Experience working with funnel metrics or hiring data to support decision making and surface insights.
  • Comfortable guiding offer conversations and partnering with compensation and hiring teams to align on decisions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to operate effectively within cross functional teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive hiring practices and delivering a positive candidate experience.
  • Ability to stay organized and adaptable in fast paced or evolving environments.

Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $122,300 - $163,100
Zone B: $110,100 - $146,800
Zone C: $101,500 - $135,400
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
Please visit go.atlassian.com/payzones for more information on which locations are included in each of our geographic pay zones. However, please confirm the zone for your specific location with your recruiter.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
