You’ll have a huge impact as we double our revenue-generating headcount over the next fiscal year. In this role, you’ll partner closely with our leadership to quickly build and scale the GTM team across the Americas and APAC, with a strong focus on Account Executive hiring. In this role, you’ll lead by example by serving as a self-starter who takes initiative and thinks strategically beyond the task at hand. We believe in building a dynamic, innovative, and authentic team that will make a meaningful impact by connecting exceptional talent with a company that has strong values.

Our ideal candidate is based in the US on Pacific or Mountain Time to dive into the respective timezones. Does this sound like you? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

Your Core Responsibilities Are:

  • Strategic Recruitment Leadership: Design and own the end-to-end recruiting strategy for GTM roles, ensuring alignment with company goals and hiring timelines. Being a thought partner and strategic advisor to hiring teams to build a world-class team.
  • Pipeline Building: Source, attract, and engage top-tier talent through creative sourcing strategies and leveraging your network. Creatively build strong talent pipelines for openings via a variety of platforms with a focus on reaching and cultivating diverse pools of talent.
  • Collaborative Partnership: Work closely with hiring managers and GTM leadership to deeply understand their needs and co-create tailored recruitment strategies. Providing expert guidance and consultation on recruitment process, policy, technology, industry trends and best practices.
  • Process Excellence: Build and continuously improve scalable, efficient hiring processes to meet aggressive growth targets without compromising on candidate experience or quality. Executing a high touch candidate experience from beginning to end, ensuring candidate expectations are set regarding interview process, role expectations, and dbt Labs values and culture.
  • Employer Branding & DEI: Championing dbt Labs’ mission and values, positioning the company as a top employer in the market and delivering a compelling candidate experience. Collaborating with the People Operations team on initiatives, including (but not limited to) diversity, equity and inclusion, onboarding and high-touch candidate experience.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage recruiting metrics to assess performance, optimize processes, and report progress to stakeholders. Leveraging reporting and analytics to make sound business decisions. Assimilate research data from a variety of sources, analyze, and recommend appropriate courses of action to take.

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

  • At least 7-years of experience in full-cycle Sales and Go-To-Market recruiting (from strategic sourcing through onboarding) in-house within the SaaS, data, and/or open-source ecosystem
  • Strong business acumen to partner, consult, and build relationships with all levels
  • Growth-mindset, creative problem-solving skills, a hunger to learn, and a passion for building and scaling global teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to mentor junior members of the team
  • Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques and talent acquisition best-practices internationally (e.g. social media recruiting and Boolean search) as well as recruitment tools/technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to forecast and interpret market trends and develop/adjust talent acquisition strategies as needed, advising stakeholders on industry best-practices
  • Proven leadership skills, ability to influence others, and experience leading talent acquisition projects and initiatives independently
  • Demonstrated ability to function as a collaborative team member of a strategic People Team while thriving in a fast-paced and distributed work environment

You'll Have An Edge If You Have:

Who we are

At dbt Labs, we have developed strong opinions on how companies should practice analytics.

Specifically, we believe that:

  • Code-based transformations offer unmatched flexibility and transparency across various “multi-player” development to power everyone in the organization to collaborate on a common language
  • Data analysts should adopt similar practices and tools to software developers
  • Critical analytics infrastructure should be controlled by its users as open source software
  • Analytic code itself — not just analytics tools — will increasingly be open source

It turns out that a lot of other people believe this too! Today, there are 30,000 companies using dbt every week, 100,000 dbt Community members, and 4,100 companies paying for dbt Cloud. Our customers include JetBlue, Hubspot, Vodafone New Zealand, and Dunelm. dbt is synonymous with the practice of analytics engineering, defining an entire industry. We’re backed by top investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia Capital, and Altimeter.
