Role:
We’re looking for a DevOps Engineering Specialist. In this role, you’ll be required to support production and development environments, create new and improve existing tools and processes, automate deployment and monitoring procedures, lead continuous integration efforts, administer issue tracking and source control systems, and deploy and maintain user-facing and internal applications.
Engineers at VDX.tv develop next-generation products that power our scalable ad tech platform. Our solution enables advertisers across the globe to reach out to their consumers and deliver effective, engaging advertising. We’re looking for engineers who are passionate about artificial intelligence, information retrieval, massive data pipelines, UI design, rich media frameworks, data insights, optimization, targeting strategies, and solving large-scale system design challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Automate resource provisioning in private and public clouds.
- Maintain and roll out monitoring tools and strategies for applications and infrastructure.
- Provide on-call support for production systems.
- Design and develop automation tools for build, deployment, monitoring, and testing.
- Maintain source control, issue tracking, and deployment systems.
- Administrate and monitor database (RDBMS and NoSQL) systems.
- Plan, set up, and support CI/CD pipeline.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of DevOps, SRE, or technical operations experience.
- Proficient in Python and UNIX shell scripting.
- Solid understanding of containerization and experience with container orchestration.
- Experience in provisioning, managing, and monitoring environments and workloads in the public cloud (AWS, GCP).
- Linux system administration skills.
- Database (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MySQL) administration skills.
- Solid knowledge of source control systems (Git, SVN).
- Good understanding of and experience in continuous integration.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be productive during production outages if they occur.
