Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer to take ownership of automated test development for our InfoWorks Integrated Catchment Management (ICM) application. InfoWorks ICM is a powerful software that helps users model complex hydraulic and hydrologic network elements quickly, accurately, and collaboratively..  The Senior Automation Test Engineer will be responsible for converting manual test cases into automated tests, incorporating those tests into master regression suites, helping to integrate automated tests into the product build pipelines, and analysing failures.

You are highly motivated and a creative software test engineer who is ready to participate in an agile team environment and contribute to the success of Autodesk.

This team will operate in a hybrid working model from our offices in Krakow, Poland.

Job Description

The position will perform all or some of the following job description:

  • Take over lead responsibility for automation development in support of Autodesk’s InfoWorks ICM desktop product using OpenText (Micro Focus) Unified Functional Test (UFT) automation tool.

  • Utilize Microsoft Azure DevOps tools to design, schedule and verify results of automated tests for Autodesk’s InfoWorks ICM application.

  • Accurately report and manage defects.

  • Define and promote automation best-practices and mentor junior automation engineers in those practices.

  • Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of Autodesk’s Water Lifecycle products and primary customer workflows.

  • Stay up to speed on new technologies and methodologies and use them to improve automated test efficiency and the quality of products.

  • Attend and actively participate in project meetings to review project requirements, use cases, and test planning activities.

  • Participate in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with engineering software.

  • Experience working in an Agile environment.

  • In-depth knowledge using OpenText (Micro Focus) Unified Functional Testing (UFT) or similar automation applications to develop and execute automated test scripts for desktop products.

  • Detailed knowledge of software testing principles & best practices.

  • Excellent communication and verbal skills required to interact with end users and to define problems and propose resolutions.

  • 8+ years industry experience working in a fast-paced agile scrum development environment and developing automated test scripts for desktop applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to GIS and/or use of geospatial data.

  • Experience working with water modelling.

  • Experience managing complex projects and working with software development team(s).
