As a Senior Software Engineer at mParticle by Rokt you will take ownership of key components within the Rokt product, focusing on delivering features while championing technical excellence across the engineering organisation.

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer (Cloud/Infrastructure)

Target total compensation ranges from $300,000 - $375,000, including a fixed annual salary of $200,000 - $250,000, an employee equity plan grant, and world-class benefits. 

Equity grants are issued in good faith, subject to company policies, board approval, and individual eligibility.

About the Role:

• As part of the Production Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, stability, and reliability of critical cloud infrastructure.
• You will collaborate with a dynamic group of professionals to drive initiatives aimed at developing and improving the scalability, availability, and performance of our systems. 
• Take responsibility for system scaling, monitoring, alerting, and CI/CD pipelines. 
• Support and mentor other engineers on best-practices, architecture, and quality.

Requirements

About You:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) in production environments, with proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and automation using Python or JavaScript.
• Deep expertise in container orchestration (EKS or similar), including deployment, scaling, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of real-time event streaming architectures and distributed systems at scale, including tools like Kafka, Pulsar, and SNS/SQS.
• Experience with large-scale observability systems (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, etc.) and performance monitoring in high-scale, data-intensive environments.
• Excellent communication skills in English - you can explain complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences both verbally and in writing. 
• At Rokt we encourage autonomy; teams have complete ownership of their systems, including building, running, and monitoring. As such, you may be required to be on-call and respond to system alerts should they arise.
