As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for setting technical direction to enable our product and infrastructure to scale with our business, driving complex projects across our technical stack, and mentoring our talented engineering team. About the Reporting & Issue Management Team

The Reporting & Issue Management team is focused on helping Vanta move upmarket by elevating the product to meet our enterprise customer needs.  Our Issue Management work replaces scattered spreadsheets and ad-hoc tracking with a structured, collaborative system that helps customers log, remediate, and resolve issues efficiently. On the Reporting side, we’re building out powerful data infrastructure—leveraging Snowflake and event-driven architectures—to give customers real-time visibility into their security and compliance posture, enabling them to spot trends, measure progress, and make data-driven decisions with confidence.

As part of this team, you’ll:

• Own customer experiences end-to-end, from crafting intuitive Issue Management workflows to designing and maintaining our Snowflake-based data pipelines.

• Partner with product and design to develop and launch greenfield products.

• Guide complex projects to successful outcomes, balancing both immediate delivery and long-term architectural goals. 

What you’ll do as a Senior Software Engineer at Vanta:

• Lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders and engineers to deliver significant impact to our business

• Set direction for critical technical surface areas, enabling us to stay ahead of continued rapid growth

• Design, develop, and own new product functionality and/or infrastructure leveraging modern frameworks and tooling (TypeScript, React, Node.js)

• Work with talented and kind engineers to make a significant impact on our customer base, enabling them to improve their security and prove it

• Contribute to building Vanta’s engineering culture as we grow
  

How to be successful in this role:

• You have hands-on experience working with Snowflake (or similar data platforms) and understand best practices for managing infrastructure as code using Terraform. 

• You’re comfortable designing scalable data models, optimizing query performance, and building and maintaining reliable data pipelines that power core product functionality.
