As a Senior Social Media Manager, you will develop and execute a global social media strategy that enhances ActiveCampaign’s brand awareness, builds strong brand affinity, deepens our audience engagement, and drives business growth across key regions. Your work will be instrumental in shaping how ActiveCampaign is perceived in the market, fostering meaningful connections with our community, and ensuring our brand stands out in a competitive landscape.

ActiveCampaign’s product portfolio includes solutions like ActiveCampaign (marketing automation & CRM), Postmark (transactional email), and ACHQ (franchise marketing automation), each requiring tailored messaging and content strategies to engage diverse audiences effectively.

This role will focus on channel strategies, audience engagement, GTM execution, and localized approaches for international markets, ensuring that each product and audience segment is reached with the right message at the right time. You’ll create compelling, platform-specific content in partnership with the creative team, optimize social strategies to align with business objectives and manage social community interactions. Through a mix of organic and paid social efforts, you will cultivate an engaged brand following, amplify our thought leadership, and drive deeper emotional connections with our audiences.

What your day could consist of:

  • Develop and execute a global, multi-product social media strategy to increase engagement, audience growth, and brand visibility across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Support our go-to-market (GTM) strategy execution by aligning social media initiatives with product launches, feature updates, and key company milestones.
  • Create engaging, high-quality content tailored to each product and audience segment, ensuring messaging aligns with business goals and resonates with target markets.
  • Work with the growth and design teams to develop a strong YouTube strategy that supports our brand and growth goals while driving engagement with our target segments.
  • Manage social media for multiple portfolio products, tailoring messaging, content, and campaigns to fit each product’s unique audience and value proposition.
  • Oversee localization efforts, adapting content for key international markets while maintaining brand consistency and relevance.
  • Collaborate across marketing, content, demand gen, and product teams to align social strategies with larger brand and revenue goals, supporting pipeline growth and retention.
  • Work closely with customer advocates and influencers, turning customers into brand champions through storytelling, thought leadership, and UGC strategies.
  • Engage directly across our social communities, responding to comments, fostering brand engagement, and amplifying customer success stories.
  • Analyze and report on social media performance, using insights to refine strategy, optimize content, and grow key engagement metrics.

What is needed:

  • 8 + years of SaaS experience in social media marketing, content creation, or digital engagement, ideally within B2B and/or Martech.
  • Experience managing multi-product social strategies, understanding audience segmentation, and content differentiation.
  • Expertise in video content strategy, with experience growing and managing YouTube channels and short-form video formats (TikTok, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn Video, etc.).
  • Proven track record in content creation, including social-first storytelling, writing, and design collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics, platform algorithms, and audience behaviors.
  • Hands-on experience with social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social).
  • Exceptional copywriting skills and a keen eye for brand storytelling.
  • Highly collaborative, able to work cross-functionally with marketing, creative, product, and regional teams.
  • Passion for community engagement and fostering brand advocacy.
  • Help grow and develop team members

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
