The Role

Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Senior Program Manager - Private Brands to join our team in Plantation, FL, Bellevue, WA, Boston, MA, or Minneapolis, MN. We are looking for a leader and owner who can optimize existing systems and bring brand new programs from inception to implementation. The ideal candidate can successfully work with multiple partners across organization, has a passion for solving complex problems, strong technical acumen, and can ruthlessly prioritize competing priorities. This individual will own the Private Brands Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software roadmap, including requirements gathering, testing new functionality and full implementation support. You will build project plans & timelines, solve problems, and communicate progress to stakeholders. You will work cross-functionally to proactively identify, monitor, communicate, and resolve potential roadblocks, and establish mechanisms.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented and enjoys rolling up their sleeves to support the day-to-day operations of a new business. The position will report to the Associate Director of Program Management.  S/he has proven results in delivering and optimizing large scale programs in partnership with engineering teams and thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. The candidate will enjoy mobilizing cross-functional teams, od an excellent communicator, an enthusiastic and proactive problem solver who is engaged at all levels of the project, possessing a heightened sense of ownership, responsibility, and accountability with a proven track record to lead projects from planning through completion.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the Private Brands technology and process optimization roadmap, including the business case definition, requirements gathering, implementation plans, resourcing, and user training
  • Be the subject matter expert in all areas of the program, proactively setting and managing expectations on an ongoing basis, prioritizing deliverables and milestones, building consensus, and coordinating program updates
  • Communicate status risks and changes of program milestones to stakeholders and senior executives
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to develop tailored, actionable processes and workback plans with an emphasis on scalable technology and processes
  • Proactively identify and resolve time-sensitive challenges with a positive, collaborative, solutions-focused approach
  • Support multiple parallel workstreams managing projects from kick off through implementation
  • Develop and manage key business metrics and financials for programs and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives
  • Use analytical, innovative, and quick-on-your-feet thinking to adapt implementation plans to challenges while still delivering projects on time and on budget
  • Act both strategically and tactically to implement program milestones successfully across internal and external stakeholders
  • Support technology users through targeted trainings, office hours, and detailed documentation

What You’ll Need:

  • BA/BS in IT, Business Management, Operations, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience leading large scale global programs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially focused on conveying complex information in an approachable manner to large or small audiences
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to collaborate directly with engineering and technical product teams
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Vlookup, Macros, Data Manipulation, Formulas etc.)
  • Demonstrated track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently illustrating sound critical thinking skills and maintaining composure in ambiguous situations
  • Excellent attention to detail, effective negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Team player, passionate about motivating and/or mentoring team members, fostering a positive team environment and culture
  • Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Track record of taking ownership and driving results in a data-driven, fast-paced environment
  • Position may require occasional travel

Bonus (if applicable):

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Previous experience with SQL and building Tableau dashboards
  • E-commerce/e-retail experience in private label specifically

Compensation & Benefits:

Our pay range for a Senior Program Manager position is $129,500.00 - $207,000.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Non-exempt hourly team members accrue paid time off (PTO) while salaried-exempt team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Non-exempt hourly team members in Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service are also eligible for additional unplanned unpaid time off (UTO). Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
