About the Role:

Our global People Team is looking for a passionate leader for our corporate Learning & Development team to help us build out the global function. You will lead the corporate Learning and Development team and provide expertise and strategic direction as well as be hands on in the execution of programs and projects. You will need to be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and proven ability to operate effectively in uncertain or rapidly changing environments, using innovative thinking and problem-solving to design and implement impactful talent development programs that address organizational priorities and future workforce needs. You will also need to have the ability to communicate clearly and make the business case for new strategies and approaches to learning, use of technologies, and the impact of learning. And you'll utilize your expertise designing, building, and delivering complex scalable enterprise learning solutions This role reports to our VP of Total Rewards and is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days onsite, based in Seattle, WA.

You Will:

  • Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders across teams, ensuring alignment on goals and priorities
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their capabilities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering career growth
  • Navigate the dual role of contributing directly to the work and providing strategic guidance to ensure the team's success
  • Develop and manage Remitly's global training standards to govern the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs
  • Create / Co-create learning and development strategies from ideation to measurement/evaluation
  • Develop, and deliver trainings and learning journeys
  • Partner cross-functionally on the coordination of compliance and mandatory trainings
  • Plan, design, and manage an array of other L&D programs and projects
  • Work with global partners across the company (Business leaders, DEI, People Team) for design input and shared ownership
  • Leverage a blended learning approach (in-person, virtual, self-paced, etc.) as a design tenet
  • Customize content for geographic applicability and adoption
  • Use data and people analytics to measure impact and identify trends to continuously improve our learning opportunities

You Have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Communications, or similar work experience
  • 2+ years of experience leading a corporate L&D function and team, including managing senior individual contributors
  • Expertise in Learning and Development program design, delivery, and management
  • An understanding of adult learning principles and blended learning methodologies
  • Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies within the learning industry
  • Experience building scalable and inclusive programs in a high-growth environment for a diverse global audience
  • Excellent facilitation skills; ideally ILT and vILT
  • Experience with eLearning content design
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Workday)
  • Experience partnering with and influencing stakeholders at all levels

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $136,000-$170,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
