At Invert, we are on a mission to dramatically reduce the dollar and time cost of using biology to manufacture ~everything. Our customers use bioprocessing to do things like: produce new therapies to combat disease, create new biomaterials to solve the environmental crisis, and manufacture essential chemicals cleanly. The team

You will join Invert’s Product team. This team is responsible for driving the overall evolution of our data management and analytics product. More specifically, the team is tasked with:

  • Product Strategy: Defining the product vision and roadmap.

  • Feature Prioritization: Assessing and prioritizing features based on customer needs, market demand, and technical feasibility.

  • Data Analytics: Monitoring product performance using analytics and key metrics to inform decision-making.

  • Market Research: Staying updated on competitors and market trends to identify opportunities for product innovation.

The role

You will work closely with the rest of the Product team, as well as engineering, sales, and CX to drive the improvement and expansion of our product. In the near term, your responsibilities may include:

  • Driving feature development to help users quickly turn historical data into actionable insights.

  • Engaging with customers to understand their workflows, pain points, and needs.

  • Improving data quality by providing tools to assess data health and fix issues.

  • Owning the analysis product to help users clean, access, and analyze their data.

  • Working with engineering to enhance data processing with automation and AI where valuable.

The interview process

  1. Discovery: A 30-minute conversation with the hiring manager.

  2. Behavioral 1: A 60-minute interview with a member of the Product Team to assess user-centricity, action bias, adaptability, and ambition.

  3. Product Sense: A 45-minute working session with the hiring manager to simulate the types of tasks that will be common in the role.

  4. Behavioral 2: A 60-minute interview with a member of the Engineering Team to asses data-savviness, tech-savviness, and communication.

  5. Founder Chat: A 30-minute meet-and-greet with one or both of the founders.

  6. References: Three 15-minute conversations between the hiring manager and previous colleagues to gather external input.
