This position is a hybrid role requiring employees to work from our headquarters location in Seattle, WA; or Atlanta, GA every Tuesday and Wednesday, and remote all other days.

The rentals growth team is a key part of Redfin’s business. Over a third of U.S. households rent, and our job is to make finding a home easier. We seek to offer renters high-quality listings, an easy search, and an experience that keeps them coming back.

That’s where you come in. We’re looking for a talented Sr. Product Manager to build the best search experience to meet renter needs. You’ll be in charge of guiding renters to the right place faster through improvements to our search results, owning everything from the design to the logic that decides which listings renters see first. You’ll balance the needs of the renter with the needs of the business. The work you do will significantly impact Redfin’s profitability. You’ll primarily focus on our rental sites, Rent.com and ApartmentGuide.com, and collaborate closely with a number of teams across Redfin.

The Role

  • Build a vision and product strategy for the search & sort experience on Rent.com and ApartmentGuide.com.

  • Create roadmaps, write clear requirements, and shape product designs with concrete goals to track success.

  • Work with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and SEO managers to build a great experience, manage tradeoffs, and drive results.

  • Dig into data with analysts to uncover insights and make smart product decisions.

  • Champion thoughtful product discovery to uncover unique opportunities to drive renter engagement and satisfaction

  • Keep execs and stakeholders in the loop with clear updates, outcomes, and recommendations.

Who You Are

  • Passionate about Redfin's mission.

  • 5+ years of consumer product management experience working with a team to build and deliver new products or experiences. Consumer product experience is required.

  • Confident making data-driven decisions through deep analysis and/or rigorous A/B testing. Hands-on experience with sophisticated experimentation platforms is required.

  • Able to influence across all levels and functions.

  • A fast learner who quickly picks up new subject areas

  • Deep customer empathy. You listen to users, understand their needs, and build intuitive solutions

  • Comfortable tackling ambiguous problems and turning complexity into clear action

  • Strong communicator who can break down challenges and share a clear vision

  • Analytical and data-driven, with the skills to dive into complex problems and explain them simply

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
