About the role and team:
eBay is looking for a customer centric, data driven Senior Product Manager on our Identity team that leads safe and seamless Account Access for over 150 million users.
In this role you will lead key areas of the Sign-in team’s charter across Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). You will develop more seamless Account Access and Recovery capabilities, while exploring leapfrog innovation opportunities for new capabilities and approaches.
You will help build customer trust through safer and more seamless experiences, for buyers and sellers alike globally in a highly visible area, partnering across multiple teams and impactful business goals.
What you will accomplish:

Be the customer: Define customer centric product vision and measurable impact roadmaps across focus areas. Clearly set the product prioritization and use cases finding the right balance of near-term deliverables and longer-term investment in platform capabilities

Partner: Collaborate and align with collaborators across Design, Engineering, Analytics, Account Security, Information Security, Customer Service and other product teams to evolve our customer experience to meet key customer, business and safety needs across use cases, multiple user personas and global markets.

Implement: Close partnership with Engineering and Design on customer experience and scalability to effectively influence product design and delivery through innovative and scalable solutions.

Insights: Synthesize data into insights and insights into opportunity areas with actionable hypotheses. Leverage experimentation and customer feedback throughout the product lifecycle to continually improve our experiences.
What you will bring:

7+ years of product management experience with a strong background in payments, ecommerce, or related fields with a customer focus.

Expertise in Identity across Authentication, the evolution of standards such as SCA, MFA, Passkeys, and the intersection of Identity at the cusp of evolving regulations and the evolution of AI at a global financial services or eCommerce platform

Strong analytical and experimentation skills to dimension opportunity areas and test with velocity and at scale.

Experience working with international markets and in developing platforms at scale across global regions with a strong technical background to understand and contribute product insights in evolution of a platform
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.
$140,000 - $214,500
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
