The Opportunity

As a Product Manager you will be responsible for setting the direction of our differentiated FinOps capabilities, and guiding our investments accordingly. You will prioritize the relevant components of our product plans, and leverage data to help make quick decisions and measure their impact.

This role demands a product manager who wants to combine their technical expertise with a nuanced business understanding to drive real impact.  DoiT is a company where a self-driven individual can have an outsized impact on a fast growing, strong, business.  Successful Product Managers use their drive and a combination of techniques to define, organize, and execute platform improvements and innovate to discover new ways to increase our net revenue and reach.

Expect to be challenged to combine deep domain expertise to articulate a vision that reflects our bold ambition to dominate the market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop deep contextual understanding of our business, our clients, our users, & their needs
  • Proactively identify the important problems we should attack in your primary focus area (e.g. competitively, strategically, for customers, and in support of company goals)
  • Build a coherent strategy and roadmap for addressing these problems with measurable objectives that align stakeholders and teams
  • Build requirements that align product solutions closely to customer needs, & help to define phased, rapid, iterative delivery, with superior customer experience
  • Drive, track, and document progress against plans - keeping open and clear lines of communications in the face of change (driven by market pressure, customer feedback, business need)
  • Collaborate with Executives and other cross-functional leadership to ensure your product strategy is aligned to the company vision, and the operational needs of the business
  • Maintain competitive and market awareness and ensure sustained differentiation is always a core objective
  • Verify readiness of features for release to clients (in production/pre-production form)

Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in product roles, building technical cloud products for B2B SaaS products
  • Well-informed on cloud-native technologies, with deep knowledge of infrastructure pricing, and discount methods in AWS, GCP, and/or Azure
  • You have been exposed to cloud billing and understand how infrastructure consumption translates to cost - maybe you’ve even modeled cloud cost growth
  • You have familiarity with the most common approaches to reducing cloud costs (discount commitments, infra rightsizing, Spot/Preemptibles, others) - maybe you’ve been responsible for choosing/enforcing solutions
  • You understand and can clearly articulate the importance of coordinating cloud cost observability, cost optimization and governance, and cloud unit economics across organizations
  • Self-motivated, independent, and proactive; demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities; can quickly (real-time) triage, prioritize, drive consensus and lead cross- functional teams under pressure
  • Ability to influence and work collaboratively with people in all traditional SDLC roles/teams, and lead when necessary
  • Strong technical skills that enable you to engage productively with technical teams
  • Ability to adapt to fast-changing nature of the SaaS market, and can pivot and learn quickly
  • Comfort making difficult decisions with uncertainty and imperfect data and gaining buy-in from stakeholders
  • Fluent English communication skills (verbal and written)

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
