Role Description

Join our team as a Senior Product Manager for Core Foundations, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the bedrock of our foundational user experience. Your collaboration with teams from engineering to design will be essential in crafting a product vision and strategy that not only meets today's needs but paves the way for future innovation. You'll have the unique opportunity to drive the evolution of Dropbox, refreshing essential features to bolster our growth and introduce new offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a long-term product vision that aligns with business goals and is informed by market trends. Translate customer feedback into actionable product milestones and assess competitor products to identify market opportunities. Create and maintain a product vision document to guide the development teams.
  • Benchmark industry best practices to inform strategic decisions and define key performance indicators that measure the success of these strategies. Ensure that product initiatives are in alignment with the company's overarching objectives.
  • Establish and maintain robust working relationships across engineering, design, and marketing teams to coordinate coherent product strategies. Integrate input from all stakeholders to refine the features and functions of our product.
  • Analyze existing user interactions to identify enhancement opportunities. Partner with design teams to refine the user interface and flow. Implement A/B testing to perfect features and gather user feedback through surveys, interviews, and usability studies. Work in collaboration with user experience researchers to gain insights into user behaviors.
  • Engage directly with customers to gather detailed feedback and gain a deep understanding of their primary needs. Use these insights to shape the product development process and always advocate for the customer perspective during team discussions. Keep a close eye on customer experience trends to guide product improvements.
  • Skillfully rank product features based on impact and effort to inform sprint planning. Balance the demands of stakeholders with user requirements and technical limitations. Allocate resources selectively to concentrate on high-value initiatives and features. Lead cross-functional teams in decomposing complex projects into actionable tasks.
  • Develop key performance metrics to gauge product performance and utilize data analysis for continuous improvement. Manage the execution of product initiatives, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met. Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals within set timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 8+ years in product management or related field
  • Proven ability to develop long-term product visions and strategies
  • A deep understanding and empathy for end-users — you love building products that make our customers feel joy, delight and trust
  • Impact driven and a consistent history of delivering measurable results for both users and the business
  • Build alignment and listen well, but can also drive hard decisions, framing the different options and tradeoffs
  • Ability to analyze and use quantitative and qualitative data to inform decisions
  • Strong communication, with an ability to influence with cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Track record of launching and scaling successful products
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams to meet project goals and deadlines
  • Evidence of improving key product metrics and contributing to revenue growth

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with SaaS companies, including their complexities, scale, and foundational technologies.
  • Strong data analytics skills to independently query for data, analyze it, and generate insights to inform product direction.
