About the Role:

Remitly is seeking a paralegal with expertise in litigation and employment law who thrives on managing litigation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and building efficient legal operations processes. Remitly is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation/Employment Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. You will support litigation processes from intake to resolution, while also supporting global employment law matters. You will report to our Senior Employment Counsel, and work with the legal team, People team, and other important business stakeholders.

You Will:

  • Support all steps of the litigation process, from litigation holds through dispute resolution, including: maintaining organized legal files, updating claims tracking systems, proactively monitoring and managing deadlines, gathering, reviewing, and analyzing documents and data, assisting with responses to subpoenas, discovery requests and other litigation filings, and coordinating with internal and external counsel.
  • Assist with the development and execution of global employment law projects including drafting and updating agreements and policies, research and analysis of global compliance obligations, and developing and implementing training initiatives.
  • Drive progress on litigation management and legal operations processes. Look for opportunities to improve processes that will positively impact the legal team and its counterparts, and help us scale.

You Have:

  • 6+ years in a civil litigation-focused paralegal role at a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • You have experience supporting litigation/dispute resolution in a variety of forums, including arbitrations, mediations, administrative agencies, and local/state/federal court. International litigation/dispute resolution experience a plus.
  • You have knowledge of US employment laws, employee relations and HR best practices. Global employment law experience a plus.
  • You love sizing up unstructured or ad hoc situations and working to build processes that improve efficiency.
  • You are a team player who is also comfortable making decisions independently.
  • You have meticulous attention to detail, prioritization skills, and excel at managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • You handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity and discretion.
  • You have proficiency in G-Suite, JIRA, Confluence, Adobe, Pipefy, Ironclad or other legal/contract management systems, e-discovery programs, and document management systems.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $104,000-$130,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
