At Counterpart Health, we are transforming healthcare and improving patient care with our innovative primary care tool, Counterpart Assistant. By supporting Primary Care Physicians (PCPs), we are able to deliver improved outcomes for patients at a lower cost through early diagnosis and longitudinal care management of chronic conditions.

As a Senior UX Manager, you will play a pivotal role in elevating design as a strategic function, partnering closely with product, engineering, and executive teams to shape experiences that set a new standard for usability and innovation in healthcare. You’ll lead high-impact initiatives, optimize workflows, and ensure design thinking is embedded at every stage of product development. You’ll not only drive next-gen, consumer-grade UX but also empower your team to think beyond execution – developing them into strategic decision-makers who define, rather than just follow best practices.

As a Senior Manager of UX, you will:

  • Lead at a high level, influencing product, engineering, and executive decisions.
  • Redefine what’s possible in healthcare UX, pushing the industry toward best-in-class, next-gen experiences.
  • Empower a world-class design team, giving them the tools to lead, innovate, and drive meaningful change.
  • Shape a culture of strategic thinking, ensuring design is a driver of business success, not just execution.
  • Lead transformative UX initiatives that redefine industry standards, drive groundbreaking innovation, and create meaningful, user-centered experiences that make a lasting impact.

Success in this role looks like:

  • Within the first 90 days, success will be measured by stakeholder feedback, deeper design integration, and improved operational efficiency.
  • Within the first 6 months, success will be measured by faster iterations, stronger incorporation of user insights, and smoother mid-project pivots that directly enhance product outcomes.
  • Beyond six months, success will be measured by design’s ability to drive best-in-class UX, set industry standards, and create tangible product improvements that redefine user expectations.

You should get in touch if:

  • You have 7+ years of design experience in a design environment (in-house, agency, or relevant industry), with 5+ years of managing people.
  • You bring deep expertise in at least two core UX areas (research/strategy, system design, interaction design, visual design) and strong capabilities in two others.
  • You have a portfolio that demonstrates industry-leading work, showing how you’ve driven impact through design strategy and execution.
  • You know how to balance high-level vision with tactical execution, helping teams scope work effectively and prioritize learning, not just delivery.
  • You have experience in complex systems and applications, knowing how to simplify the complex and create delightful, intuitive experiences.
  • You are an advocate for collaboration, working closely with product and engineering to ensure design is a driver of business outcomes, not just execution.
  • You are excited about shaping the future of healthcare UX – bringing the same level of quality and innovation seen in leading consumer products to an industry that desperately needs it.
