INFOSECWhat We Do

Keep Epic’s networks, hardware, and people safe from security risks. Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and encryption programs. Document issues as they arise and assess & report any impact caused.

What You'll Do

As the Senior Manager of Security Engineering, you will have the opportunity to help mature and drive our Engineering team within the Information Security department to help deliver Security services to the Epic Enterprise.

In this role, you will

  • Lead/Manage a Global team of security engineers
  • Collaborate with Security Operations, Threat Intelligence, Offensive Security, and Governance Risk & Compliance teams to maintain a strong cybersecurity posture
  • Partner across Technology and Business departments to ensure robust/timely security services are being delivered
  • Develop, maintain, and mature vision and strategy for enterprise-wide security engineering initiatives
  • Understand emerging security technologies and determine the appropriate application/usage within business applications/systems
  • Maintain and mature Epic’s cybersecurity standards, baselines, and secure design documentation
  • Maintain and enhance cybersecurity tools and ensure full adoptions and peak operational performance

What we're looking for

  • 7+ years of hands on experience in Security Engineering with the ability to think outside the box
  • 5+ years of in Security Engineering leadership
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a Global team of security engineers
  • Experience leading both Cloud and more traditional InfoSec Engineering teams/functions
  • Practical experience with compliance and regulatory frameworks and how they affect security architecture design
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate within the context of the business audiences
  • Proven track record of successfully designing, implementing, and managing security systems and solutions for fast pace and complex organizations

This role is open to multiple locations across the US (including WA).

Pay Transparency Information

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).

Washington Base Pay Range

$246,202$328,269 USD
