We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager for Military Recruitment and Veteran Community Success. This role will be instrumental in developing and executing global strategies that enhance the recruitment, retention, professional development and overall experience of Veterans and military community members at The Boeing Company. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of military culture, a passion for supporting Veterans, and a proven track record in program management and employee engagement.
This position can be based in Arlington, VA; Berkeley, MO; North Charleston, SC; Plano, TX; Ridley Park, PA; Mesa, AZ or Seattle, WA.
Position Responsibilities:

Design and implement a comprehensive, global, strategy for military and Veteran community engagement that aligns with the company’s overall employee experience objectives, including key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and areas for improvement

Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure Veteran-focused initiatives are integrated into the company’s strategic goals, fostering a culture that values the contributions of Veterans and military connected personnel at all levels of the organization

Maintain a tight connection with Government Operations, Boeing Veterans employee resource group, and the Boeing Military Spouse Network regarding strategic opportunities and company initiatives

Oversee the Military-connected and Veteran Program recruitment strategy, ensuring the paths for Veteran and Military Spouse recruitment are aligned and optimized, including recruitment efforts at various military bases, through Veteran Service Organizations, local and Boeing-sponsored military events, Skillbridge, Military Spouse programs, and universities

Align military-connected pipelines globally to company hiring strategies and objectives

Develop, implement, and oversee programs that facilitate the recruitment, onboarding, and career advancement of Veterans and military personnel including creating tailored onboarding experiences that address the unique needs of Veterans & military community transitioning to civilian roles

Create and manage mentorship and development programs that connect Veterans & connected team members with leaders and peers within the organization, fostering professional growth and networking opportunities

Act as the primary leadership advocate for Veterans and military community members, ensuring their needs are addressed and their contributions are recognized including establishing a feedback loop to gather insights from Veterans about their experiences and challenges within the organization

Provide resources and support to Veterans navigating their careers, with specialized programs to highlight & translate their unique skills and experiences into their civilian roles

Build and maintain relationships with military organizations, Veteran Service Organizations, and educational institutions to enhance recruitment and support efforts including identifying and participating in strategic partnerships that can provide additional resources and opportunities for Veterans

Represent the organization at Veteran-focused events, job fairs, and community outreach initiatives, promoting the company as an employer of choice for Veterans and the military community

Develop promotional materials and presentations that effectively communicate the company’s commitment to supporting the military community

Monitor and analyze metrics related to Veteran and Military Spouse hiring, retention, and engagement to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and initiatives; utilize data analytics tools to track progress against established KPIs and identify trends that inform future strategies

Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership on the status and impact of Veteran and Military Spouse-focused initiatives, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement

Co-Create training programs for employees and management on the unique challenges and strengths of Veterans and Military Spouses in the workplace including creating educational materials that raise awareness about military culture and the value they bring to the organization

Partner with company employee resource groups to promote awareness of Veteran and military connected issues and foster a culture of inclusion and respect for military service through vehicles such as internal communications, workshops, and events that celebrate the contributions of Veterans and Military Spouses

Manage resources for military and Veteran community programs, ensuring effective structure and allocation to maximize impact including identifying strategic partnerships that can support Veteran initiatives and programs

Review and assess the financial performance of programs, investments, and partnerships - adjusting as necessary to ensure sustainability and effectiveness of company objectives
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
-
10+ years of experience recruiting talent and/or Human Resources with a focus on Veterans and military community initiatives
-
10+ years of experience analyzing data and metrics to identify future organization needs
-
5+ years of experience in program or project management that support Veterans in the workplace
-
Experience supporting veteran transition assistance programs and a strong understanding of military culture and the unique challenges faced by Veterans transitioning to civilian careers
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field, or military equivalent education

Experience working with armed forces and/or Veteran organizations outside the U.S.
-
Commitment to creating a supportive environment for all employees

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $157,250 - $227,700
