Description and Requirements
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) role at MetLife GOSC is pivotal in linking HR strategies with business objectives. HRBPs collaborate closely with senior management to understand organizational goals and design HR initiatives that drive performance and employee engagement. They oversee end to end employee life-cycle management, talent and performance management, employee relations, and organizational development, policies formulation and administration ensuring alignment with company values and legal requirements. By providing strategic HR guidance and leveraging data-driven insights, HRBPs contribute significantly to achieve business success and drive positive workplace culture.
§ Collaborating with business leaders to understand organizational goals and translating them into HR strategies and initiatives.
§ Liaise with HRBPs and hiring managers to drive the internal talent capacity building process for roles across the organization, Efficient coordination with all stakeholders involved in the recruitment lifecycle to ensure hiring TATs are maintained.
§ Handling complex employee relations issues, providing guidance on HR policies, and fostering a positive work environment.
§ Compliance to disciplinary procedures as per applicable statutory requirements; Adherence to escalation matrix & timely resolution of issues mitigating risk & exposure for the organization.
§ Developing and implementing strategies for talent segmentation, development, and retention that support the organization's growth.
§ Improve employee experience by continuously enhancing people practices that align with people strategy & encourage demonstration of MetLife Values and culture. Render support in the implementation of employee engagement diagnostics (surveys, Focus Group Discussions) & initiatives to address critical gaps & concerns around engagement at the workplace.
§ Drive practices to ensure that employees feel valued and recognized for their work; Manage the rewards and recognition framework for the business.
§ Policies and Procedures: Strong hand on organization policies and procedures, ensure timely communication and devise ways to minimize fall outs.
§ Develop and execute employee well-being, DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion), and cultural transformation initiatives
§ Lead change management efforts to support business transformation and employee adaptation.
§ Effectively drive and execute Goal Setting, Performance & Career conversations, Year-end deliverables on feedback and compensation action
§ Support and equip people managers to deliver on role expectations vis a vis performance management
§ Utilizing data-driven insights to make informed decisions and improve HR processes, such as workforce planning and performance management.
§ Ensuring adherence to labor laws and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
§ Supporting organizational change initiatives by facilitating communication, training, and transition plans.
§ Serve as a consultant to business leaders on HR-related matters, offering expertise on organizational development, compensation, and benefits.
§ Working closely with other HR functions (e.g., Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development) to deliver integrated HR solutions.
§ Overseeing the entire employee lifecycle, such as onboarding, facilitating employee movements and offboarding to ensure a seamless experience for employees.
§ Collaborating with cross-functional teams on HR projects, initiatives, and process improvements to enhance organizational effectiveness. Supporting HR compliance efforts by maintaining documentation and assisting with audits as needed.
MBA/PGDM in Human Resources/ Personnel Management from a reputed institute.
§ Experience: 10-15 years of HR experience, with at least 6 to 8 years in a Business Partnering role in a Global Capability Center (GCC), Shared Services, or multinational environment.
§ Industry Exposure: Experience in IT/ITES, BFSI, Pharma, or other knowledge-based industries preferred.
§ Strong understanding of global HR best practices and local labor laws.
§ Proven ability to work in a matrixed, fast-paced, and evolving business environment.
§ Strong domain knowledge - Human Resources, Organization Behavior, Statutory & Labor laws, Employment norms
§ High Proficiency in Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
§ Stakeholder management skills and Business Acumen
§ High emotional intelligence and ability to build trusted relationships
§ Ability to handle confidential HR information with integrity and discretion.
§ Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities to manage responsibilities effectively.
§ Analytical bent of mind, data-driven decision-making ability to influence & drive for results
§ Strong organizational skills & ability to work as part of a team to achieve goals.
