TIAA is seeking an innovative Marketing Data Scientist to help drive data-informed decision making across our marketing initiatives. In this role, you'll combine advanced analytics with marketing expertise to optimize customer experiences and campaign performance.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Audience Analytics: Deepen understanding of TIAA prospects and customers.
    • Create capabilities that provide detailed views of audiences and how they are connected to existing marketing efforts.
    • Develop predictive models to forecast customer behaviors such as churn, lifetime value, and response rates to inform marketing strategy and improve effectiveness.
  • Advanced Measurement: Develop the marketing attribution strategy for key business outcomes to measure the impact of marketing activities on each stage of the customer lifecycle and optimize marketing spend.
    • Establish clear marketing KPIs and measurement frameworks.
    • Build experiments (A/B, holdouts, and causal inference) to measure the incremental impact of marketing.
    • Develop advanced capabilities that combine marketing attribution and MMM for holistic ROI measurement.
  • Present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior executives and stakeholders, effectively communicating complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data science & AI, marketing analytics, and technology trends to dive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

  • 3+ Years Required; 5+ Years Preferred

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience applying advanced analytics.
  • 3+ years’ experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, and/or experimental design.
  • Experience with Python, PySpark, SQL and/or data visualization tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience applying advanced analytics in a marketing context.
  • Experience with marketing analytics platforms and/or marketing automation tools (Google Analytics, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Master’s or PhD in quantitative field
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative field  
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) Strong business acumen and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and customer journey optimization

Base Pay Range: $130,000/yr. - $180,000/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
