About the team + role

The Insider Trust team’s mission is to safeguard Robinhood and its customers by detecting, deterring, and mitigating insider risks. As part of the broader Security organization, we drive a culture of accountability, empower responsible use of resources, and enable innovation with confidence.

As a Senior Insider Threat Analyst, you will conduct in-depth investigations, uncover insights from data, and build strong cross-functional partnerships to help proactively mitigate risk.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct investigations and analyze complex data to identify potential insider threats and surface meaningful insights
  • Utilize tools like UAM, SIEM, and DLP to detect anomalies, initiate cases, and follow through on investigative findings
  • Build and maintain dashboards and metrics that clearly communicate trends and support decision-making
  • Develop standardized playbooks to ensure scalable and effective investigative processes
  • Collaborate with Legal, People Relations, Physical Security, and leadership to strengthen insider threat detection and response efforts

What you bring

  • 5+ years of experience in insider threat analysis or a closely related field
  • Deep understanding of behavioral analytics and techniques for detecting insider risks
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and anomalies in large datasets
  • Experience with technologies such as DLP, UAM, UEBA, and CASB
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey investigative findings clearly and effectively
  • Demonstrated adaptability, curiosity, and a commitment to staying ahead of evolving security trends
  • Familiarity with MacOS and GSuite environments

Bonus points

  • Experience in a dedicated Insider Threat or Counterintelligence program
  • Background in internal fraud investigations or conducting interviews
  • Knowledge of Digital Forensics & Incident Response (DFIR) or Security Operations
  • Comfort with scripting or “no code” tools (e.g., Tines) to automate workflows
  • Experience in the financial sector and understanding of regulated environments

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
