The Senior Global Account Manager (SGAM) is responsible for managing the relationships between Iron Mountain and its clients. The SGAM develops and implements strategic plans to grow accounts, manages and strengthens client relationships, identifies new business opportunities, and coordinates with internal teams to deliver on client expectations. Through its role in customer retention and growth, the SGAM will support the growth of the ALM (Asset Lifecycle Management) group within Iron Mountain.

Responsibility:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow accounts and increase market share within the account base in the designated geographic areas.
  • Ensure alignment of Sales teams including specialists across the portfolio to execute local go-to-market.
  • Drive alignment of account plans for targeted customers, and work with the Global AMs team including Sales for alignment on go-to-market where needed.
  • Support Sales resource deployment within affordability guidelines to achieve financial objectives.
  • Ensure to drive quota deployment accuracy in order to maximize quota achievement.
  • Manage pipeline funnel to guarantee forecast, linearity, and predictability.
  • Use key indicators, processes, and management systems to monitor performance within the  Global Account segment.
  • Understand and translate customer strategy and business drivers into the creation of new opportunities.
  • Participate in the global account planning and execution process, including developing and implementing the ALM commercial strategy.
  • Provide thought leadership and program management for initiatives that align with or complement the business strategy and industry trends.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Resolve major issues pertaining to tracking, pricing, customer failures, and expediting in conjunction with the customer service team.
  • Direct conflict resolution and facilitate contract negotiations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or University Degree in Business, Engineering, MBA, Business/Administration, Marketing, Education, Computer Science, Technical, Management, Technology, or equivalent
  • 7+ years of experience in sales, account management, or related field.
  • Experience in managing global accounts and leading sales teams.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of accounting principles.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Multi-lingual is a plus
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Office Skills
