About the Role
We’re looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to help build and scale Betterleap’s platform. You’ll work across the stack, developing and optimizing our web applications, APIs, and backend systems. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, can take ownership of features, and enjoys solving technical challenges that impact real users.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Betterleap’s web platform, APIs, backend services, and infrastructure
- Own features from concept to deployment, working across both frontend and backend
- Ensure fast, reliable, and scalable applications for recruiters and job seekers
- Collaborate with product, design, and customer success teams to build user-centric solutions
- Leverage unique massive datasets to enhance hiring outcomes
- Implement best practices for authentication, data security, and system stability
Qualifications
- Senior full-stack development experience in a startup or fast-moving environment
- Strong proficiency in React, Next.js, and TypeScript for building modern, scalable frontends
- Backend expertise with TypeScript and Node.js (Nest.js preferred) or fluency in object-oriented programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, Java, or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), vector databases, and Elasticsearch for optimized search functionality
- Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL pipelines is a strong plus
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably GCP
