Job Description

Position Overview

This role involves leveraging data analytics to drive financial reporting, process automation, and strategic decision-making. A successful candidate will bridge technical data expertise with financial acumen, ensuring accurate reporting, system optimization, and proactive problem-solving within the finance function. The candidate will own data workflows from collection to visualization, demonstrating technical knowledge and strategic problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of financial reports for monthly/quarterly cycles, ensuring alignment with regulatory and organizational standards

  • Design, maintain, and optimize Power BI and Tableau dashboards for real-time financial performance tracking and stakeholder communication

  • Automate repetitive financial workflows (e.g., data collection, report generation) using Python, SQL, or low-code platforms like Power Automate

  • Act as the AI subject matter expert for the company by advising on ways to implement throughout the business

  • Proactively identify data discrepancies, system inefficiencies, or reporting gaps and implement corrective measures

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate financial data into actionable business insights

  • Develop predictive models to forecast financial trends and assess risk scenarios

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or related field

  • 5+ years’ experience in financial data analysis

  • Technical qualifications:

    • Expert-level Power BI/Power Query development

    • Production-grade Python/SQL scripting (Pandas, NumPy, etc.)

    • Data modeling and warehouse architecture principles

  • Demonstrated ability to:

    • Simplify complex financial data for non-technical audiences

    • Troubleshoot system errors and implement technical solutions independently

    • Manage multiple priorities in deadline-driven environment

  • Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques for automation and process improvement

  • Background in developing self-service reporting tools for business teams

Differentiating Skills

  • Experience implementing machine learning workflows (predictive modeling, pattern recognition)

  • Knowledge of cloud analytics platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

  • Experience incorporating AI strategies in reporting and business processes

  • Background in developing API integrations or data governance frameworks

Target Base Salary Range: $72,700 - $145,400 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
