Position Summary

The Senior Director of Procurement at UniUni is a strategic executive responsible for leading and optimizing sourcing, contract management, and vendor relations for indirect/direct materials and services and suppliers critical to Uni’s maintenance, operations, and capital projects. This role will be responsible for developing an overarching Enterprise Procurement strategy, encompassing aspects of organizational design, process standardization, and implementing the procurement strategy to execute UniUni’s growth strategy.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including contract negotiation, pricing, and supplier performance management.
  • Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for procurement processes, including supplier selection, contract administration, and reporting.
  • Spearhead procurement strategies for high-quality, cost-effective, and timely sourcing while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Implement key performance metrics and process improvements to enhance purchasing efficiency, reduce costs, and improve inventory effectiveness.
  • Regularly monitor industry trends, material costs, and vendor capabilities, adjusting procurement strategies to support organizational goals.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing procurement team, ensuring development opportunities and alignment with departmental goals.
  • Establish a formal, action-driven contract review process to consolidate, drive synergy, and leverage value.
  • Establish a formal, action-driven process that analyzes the enterprise portfolio for cost and service improvements.
  • Establish a formal cost improvement and mitigation program with reporting aligned with the Finance organization.
  • Establish and implement ongoing supplier KPIs to evaluate the performance of the supply base.
  • Lead, inspire, mentor, and motivate employees to drive optimal performance and maintain strong morale.

Budget Management and Cost Control

  • Oversee procurement budgeting processes, providing accurate cost estimates and forecasts for MRO, indirect/direct services, and capital expenditures.
  • Align procurement activities with budgetary goals, adjusting for market trends and supply fluctuations to optimize costs across the portfolio.
  • Conduct closed job analysis and cost performance reviews, reporting findings to senior management and identifying areas for improvement。

Vendor and Contract Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers, establishing clear performance expectations and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Operations to define SOW and align Agreements with expansion timelines.
  • Facilitate effective contract management, including robust document control and monitoring supplier agreement expirations, terminations, or renewals.
  • Lead regular QBR meetings to evaluate vendor performance, ensuring suppliers meet operational and quality requirements.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • University degree, graduate degree, or additional supply chain-specific designation or MBA. Equivalent industry experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience across supply chain sourcing, contracting, procurement, strategic supplier management, and logistics within a commercial setting, coupled with strong business acumen, is required.
  • Senior leadership experience leading multiple levels of reports across geographies with a demonstrated track record of tangible results.
  • Experience with the implementation of policy and governance.
  • Experience with driving continuous improvement.
  • Experience with all modes of logistics transportation
  • Demonstrated experience building high-performing teams through employee engagement, development, training, and mentorship.
  • Ability to develop and monitor budgets.
