Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to help mature and support our security automation efforts. You will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining our SOAR platform. You will be collaborating closely with SOC, Detection Engineers & Threat Hunters team and SIEM team in enhancing their capabilities via automation.

Responsibilities 

  • Design, develop, and implement SOAR solution to automate security processes and workflows
  • Collaborate with the SOC team to identify opportunities for automation and improve incident response times
  • Conduct regular testing and validation of SOAR playbooks to ensure their effectiveness
  • Maintain and update SOAR documentation, including playbooks, procedures, and integration guides
  • Provide training and support to SOC analysts on the use of SOAR tools and automation workflows
  • Implement and manage external data feeds and integrate them into SOAR workflows
  • Develop and maintain metrics and reports to measure the effectiveness of SOAR
  • Participate in security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with internal and external standards
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SOAR and cybersecurity automation

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • A passion for security automation and a solid understanding of security incident response
  • Knowledge in at least one of various scripting and programming languages (Python, Perl, Bash, C++ etc.)
  • Knowledge of security frameworks including MITRE Att&CK, NIST, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience managing and maintaining SOAR platform
  • 3+ years of experience working with SIEM
  • Practical understanding of various APIs
  • Education: BA/BS in computer science, information security, or a related field, or equivalent experience
